Hey team! Only 2 days, 6 hours, 40 minutes and 30 seconds until our away tournament in Sioux Falls.... but who's counting?!

I am SO excited for our team to experience their first tournament together. Tourney time is great for team bonding and can have long lasting memories for our kiddos. 

Here is a look ahead at what you can expect this weekend:

Friday we play Sioux City Green at 4PM. Please remember to arrive at least one hour in advance for team time and warmups. We will be playing at the Scheels IcePlex in Sioux Falls on the "Furniture Mart" rink. Google Maps tells me the rink is 2 hours and 45 minutes from Willmar on the quickest route.

Friday night we have a team dinner! Reservations have been made under Willmar Squirt C at the Crooked Pint Ale House in Sioux Falls at 5:45PM. This should allow the boys to get undressed and head over with plenty of time, but minimal downtime.

Saturday our day begins with taking on Sioux Falls Orange 2 at 10am on "Leadership" rink at the IcePlex and continues with an afternoon game against Fargo Freeze Maroon at 3:15PM also on "Leadership" rink. 

Following the second game, please head over to CrossFit FC East (Frontier Climbing) for our team bonding event. The boys will be able to participate in rock wall and boulder climbing. Frontier Climbing closes at 8PM, but you're welcome to stay as long or short as you'd like. We will be doing a "punch card" as a team to make it most affordable. It should be about $15-$20 per player. If possible, please plan cash for this to make payment as a group easier. I believe there was a place to bring food in and eat inside of the facility. Parents are able to come and supervise without having to pay a climber fee.
